Research Residency Track

Biomedical research provides the foundation in understanding the diseases we care for and for the development of the therapeutics that we prescribe. Biomedical research encompasses clinical and basic research ranging from database analysis to complex genomic sequencing. The research track is for those individuals interested in research as part of their career path. Opportunities afforded will involve electives in research and exposure and involvement in numerous and varied research projects. Residents will have the opportunity to work towards a Ph.D. degree during residency if desired. The expectation is that residents involved in this track will go on into subspecialty fellowship training after completing pediatric residency training.

Fellowship Research Conference

The aim of the conference series is to increase awareness of current research studies. This will provide an opportunity to discuss current topics, methodologies and findings; ultimately strengthening research outcomes.  As such, all post-doctoral fellows and clinical fellows are strongly encouraged to attend. Residents on an elective rotation are also encouraged to attend. Faculty mentors will also attend and the meeting will be a good opportunity to have a concurrent SOC meeting.
